It may be the season to be jolly, but this time of year is also traditionally fraught with hazards involving ettiquette, botulism, family and social trauma, economic depression and all sorts of other miseries.
Sisters Meg and Anna (not in the nun sense of the word - they're actually related) answer your holiday questions and help you sail through the festive period relatively painlessly.
Think of it as their little advent gift to you.
What do you mean, you wanted socks? Pah.

Poor Emily has Croup at the moment which has meant that Helen and myself have had very little sleep over the last couple of days. According to the Doctor the worst of it should only last 2-3 days, but when you are not sleeping that is a very long time.

An Australian fertility clinic has taken an unusual step to attract more sperm donors. It has advertised in a student newspaper in Canada, offering a free, two-week holiday in Australia in return for sperm.

We have moved, I can't say that it was fun (it wasn't)
I can't say that I enjoyed it (I didn't)
I can't say that I would like to do it all again (no way).
It was the wettest day of the year so far. It did not stop raining once the whole day, not even for 5 minutes.

Overview

- The removal men arrived 2 hours late
- It rained
- There was not enough room for everything in the van
- It rained
- The piano was damaged in the move
- It rained
- We forgot the tool kit for putting the furniture (beds etc) back together
- It rained
- We no longer have cable (TV or Modem)
- It rained

BUT

it does not matter because it is over and we have a great new house to make our own.

note to self - Do not move again ever or unless we have no possesions and the children have already moved!
