One year ago...

Well then I'm off to purchase a nice little island somewhere hot, with my
winnings from the Gold Cup as Harbour Pilot came in 3rd which resulted
in me gaining £3 a whole £1 profit!!

This year I have done even better, I chose Best Mate in the sweep stake.

change of mind, the lyrics will be posted here and you can gues either via the tag board or the comments option, how does that sound?

So here is today's mystery lyric

'I had the one arm bandit fever there was an arrow through my heart and my soul'

Waxing lyrical

I have added some lyrics taken from a well known song into the Tag Board down in the bottom right hand corner of the site. Please feel free to place your answer in the board and as soon as we have a winner I will post the next one.

The return of high-rise Britain?

'Work starts this week on the UK's tallest residential building - a 47 storey, 171m high glass tower in Manchester. Similar projects are planned in cities across the nation; will we all be living high-rise in years to come?'

This is the type of housing that caused major problems in the 60's and 70's in Britain. Residents felt isolated and crime rates soared.

'two-bedroom flats are already selling for £700,000'

just because they are now very expensive 'flats' does not mean that the same issues won't apply.
