The man himself and I

- entry from February 19th this year

'Went to Kingsholm on Saturday to see Gloucester play Newcastle (36-12). It was a good game which Gloucester should have won to 0. Newcastle scored both their tries in the dying seconds of each half. Went to this game in the hope that Mr Wilkinson would be playing but it was not to be, he is out for the rest of the season I believe.'

second time lucky...

Newcastle Falcons team to face Gloucester tomorrow:-

15 Matthew Burke
14 Tom May
13 Jamie Noon
12 Joe Shaw
11 Michael Stephenson
10 Jonny Wilkinson (joint captain)
9 James Grindal

1 Ian Peel (joint captain)
2 Matt Thompson
3 Marius Hurter
4 Luke Gross
5 Stuart Grimes
6 Mike McCarthy
7 Semo Sititi
8 Phil Dowson

and as much as I want to see Jonny play, I still want Gloucester to beat them and beat them BAD.

The Tree of Life!

On Sunday 19th we planted this apple tree in our front garden. I have taken a picture of Rebecca next to it so that there is some kind of scale.
The idea is that over the next few years we can see who has grown the most!

Fly the Copter

'You think it's easy flying a radio-controlled helicopter into somebody's head. My hi-score is 2148. See if you can beat it'.

well I just did

7/9/04 - 1073
7/9/04 - 1182
8/9/04 - 1177
8/9/04 - 1259
9/9/04 - 1329
10/9/04 - 1862
13/9/04 - 2203!!! (see screenshot below)

I will post my best scores here and will include a screenshot of the current highest score as proof for all you doubters out there (you know who you are).

although it must be said that playing the game via a dial-up connection does increase the level of difficulty due to the lack of response. When playing via adsl I can often score 1000+ but when using a dial-up connection yesterday I struggled to score 1000.

Here's Jonny

Lets hope he can stay fit untill the 25th Sept, when Newcastle play Gloucester at Kingholm.I have tickets for the match and although I will be supporting Gloucester it would be good to see Jonny. I had tickets for the same fixture last year which was just after the World Cup and he did not play due to his injury.

Now that Worcester are in the top league I could have gone there on Saturday to see his first game back, but I did not think of that idea in time, anyway I support Gloucester so it would make little sense in watching Newcastle vs Worcester!
